Here are some resources you can use to support your child’s learning at home. We hope you find them useful!
White Rose Maths Our school has a subscription to these resources; your child’s class teacher may direct you to which lessons are being covered each week, and send you the worksheets that go with the videos through the class email. (You can also get printed versions by contacting the school office).
BBC Bitesize Daily Lessons are available online. There are resources for homes learning in Maths and English for every year group, as well as regular lessons in Science, History, Geography and more. Your child’s class teacher will let you know through the weekly planning which lessons to focus on. Just check the class email.
The regular BBC KS2 Bitesize still has lots of other useful resources organised by subject.
The Oak National Academy is a new collection of online lessons and resources, created in response to the coronavirus lockdown. There are video lessons, quizzes and worksheets, and they cover a range of subjects.
Top Marks have lots of games and activities to support learning and practice at home. We use ‘Hit the Button’ and ‘Daily 10’ frequently with pupils in school. There are also phonics games.
The Maths Factor (with Carol Vorderman) has a free trial available for 21 days. It has online lessons and games with rewards and certificates. You will need to register your child to access these resources.
Oxford Owl have a library of e-books available free of charge (you will need to register to access them). There are also worksheets to print off and maths games to play. You can also access spelling activities which match your child’s school spelling book.
Phonics Play has lots of games and resources for helping pupils learn and practice their sounds and letters. It is currently free; just log in with the Username: march20 and Password: home.
Literacy Shed has lots of animations and short films that can inspire writing and discussions.
Twinkl have a lot of home learning activities to pick and choose from, as well as home learning packs and advice for parents.
PE With Joe – The Joe Wicks (The ‘Body Coach’) daily PE lessons can still be accessed on his YouTube Channel and done any time.
Kodable is a website that support children learning to code (write computer programs). Your child’s class teacher will be able to give you their class code so that they can carry on learning at home.
