How do we evaluate the effectiveness of provision for pupils with SEND?
- Review progress in SLT meetings and discussing next steps
- Discuss and share ideas in staff meetings to ensure up to date research and policy is in place.
- Reviewing children’s individual progress towards their goals at regular intervals, as a minimum every term
- Reviewing the impact of interventions at regular intervals
- Asking our children if they feel the adjustment or intervention is helpful and makes a difference.
- Monitoring by the Head Teacher, Deputy Head Teacher and SENDCO (e.g. lesson observations, book scrutiny and learning walks)
- Regularly updating targets and measuring progress
- Holding termly reviews with parents for children who are on Education Health and Care Plans and SEND Support Plans
- Holding annual reviews for children with Education Health Care Plans
- Progress and evaluation is reported to the Governor with responsibility for SEND
- Termly SEND reports to the Governing Body
- SEND Information Report posted on the website
