Our SEN Provision
Blackhall Primary is a mainstream school that provides education for children aged 2-11. We are committed to meeting the needs of all children, including those with SEND, through inclusive teaching and attitudes.
At Blackhall Primary we support children with a variety of differing special educational needs and we pride ourselves on being a highly inclusive school with an ethos which encourages and celebrates diversity and difference.
There are four broad areas of special educational need in the SEND Code of Practice, these are:

Cognition and Learning This includes children with Specific Learning Difficulties, Moderate Learning Difficulties, Severe Learning Difficulties and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties. |

Communication and Interaction This area of need includes children with Autism Spectrum Condition and those with Speech, Language and Communication Needs. |
|
|
Social, Emotional and Mental Health This includes any pupils who have an emotional, social or mental health need that is impacting on their ability to learn. |
|
|
Sensory and Physical This area includes children with hearing impairment, visual impairment, multi-sensory impairment and physical difficulties. |
